A tie is the smallest thing you will wear and often the first thing people remember. So we have never seen the point of a quiet one. Our new collection of silk ties has just landed, and like everything we make, each one is designed in our Brighton studio, woven from 100% silk and produced in deliberately limited numbers. These are not accessories that fade into a suit. They are the reason someone crosses a room to ask where you got it.
Every tie in the collection is a woven jacquard rather than a print, which means the pattern is built into the cloth itself. That is what gives them their depth, their texture and that quiet shift in the light that a flat printed tie can never manage. Each one finishes at a versatile 9cm blade and is tipped with our signature Gresham Blake Union flag. They are £85, and once a run is gone, it is gone.
Here is what has arrived.
The Rose Series
Our rose ties are where craft meets occasion. A richly detailed woven jacquard rose runs across the whole tie, and we have made it in three grounds so there is one for every suit and every wedding. The Pink Rose and Light Blue Rose are made for spring and summer, while the Navy Rose does the hard work for you and sits with almost anything.
Ties With a Story
For the man who likes his accessories with a bit of edge, this is the heart of the collection. The Purple Scorpion carries a symbol of power on an inky purple ground. The Black and Red Cranes borrows a Japanese emblem of luck and long life, which is a rather good thing to wear to a wedding. There are Blue Beetles, Brown Spiders, a Pink and Cream Butterfly and our joyful Pink and Yellow Floral Bugs. Conversation starters, all of them.
Retro and Geometric
If your taste runs cleaner and more graphic, the Blue Retro Stripe gives the classic stripe a warm 70s update in blue, brown and cream. The Green and Navy Zig-Zag is a sharp chevron with real impact, and the Retro Squares brings terracotta, mustard and teal together for anyone planning an autumnal or rustic wedding. There is also a playful Pink and Blue Spots for a smarter take on the polka dot.
For the Petrolheads
Two for the people who drive in style and dress the same way. The Blue Car scatters classic vintage cars across a deep navy ground, and the Red Car takes a bolder tonal route in red on red. Both are unmistakably us.
The Details That Matter
