From Brighton to the Burj: Taking British Tailoring to the Gulf
It still amuses us slightly that a tailoring house born a few streets from Brighton seafront now has an address in Dubai. But the Gulf has become one of the most exciting hospitality markets in the world, and the appetite there for genuine British design is real.
Designing Uniforms for the Gulf Climate
The Middle East brief usually combines two things that can pull against each other: world-class luxury expectations, and a climate that punishes the wrong fabrics. A uniform designed for a London winter will not thank you in a Gulf summer. So the work is as much about cloth selection and breathability as it is about cut, keeping the sharp British silhouette while making it liveable in the heat.
A Showroom in Dubai
The advantage of a showroom in the region is simple: proximity. Our Dubai space — shared with our partners at Infinity Hotel Supplies, who know the Gulf hospitality market inside out — means fittings, samples and conversations happen in person, on the right time zone, with production capability close by. British design heritage with regional delivery, that's the proposition behind our Dubai showroom.

The Same Question, Worldwide
What doesn't change is the design instinct. Whether it's a Brighton restaurant or a Gulf hotel group, the question is the same one we've asked for over 25 years: who are these people, and how do we make them look and feel their best at work? The team carries that thinking worldwide from Gresham Blake Studios.

Brighton to the Burj is a longer commute than we're used to. The brief, reassuringly, is exactly the same.
