A Brighton Creative for AW25

AW25 Shoot – Brighton Creatives Coming Together

This week we brought the AW25 Gresham Blake collection to life in a shoot at @thebrightonstudio, surrounded by some of Brighton’s most talented creatives. The energy in the room was inspiring, and the results speak for themselves. A perfect blend of fashion, jewellery, and style rooted in the city’s vibrant culture.

That ethos, not following trends but creating pieces with individuality and character  is at the heart of what we do at Gresham Blake. It’s why collaborations like this feel so natural. Jeremy’s bold, sculptural jewellery paired seamlessly with our tailoring, each piece enhancing the other without compromise.

The AW25 collection itself is a mix of classic tailoring with a modern nod, designed for people who want to stand out without shouting, or maybe just a bit. From carefully cut suits to striking details, it reflects our belief in craftsmanship, personality, and storytelling through clothes.

We also mixed it up by styling a female model in menswear tailoring, breaking down the traditional boundaries of who “should” wear a suit. The sharp cuts and bold detailing translated effortlessly, proving once again that great tailoring is about attitude and expression, not gender. It added another layer to the shoot, modern, fearless, and inclusive  which felt perfectly in line with Brighton’s creative spirit.

The shoot was a celebration of Brighton talent: designers, stylists, and makers who have carved their own paths rather than following the mainstream. It reminded us why Brighton continues to be such a powerful backdrop for creativity.

We’re proud of how the collection came together on the day and this is just the beginning. We’re already looking forward to future collaborations with the people who make Brighton’s creative scene so exciting.

@simonwebsterhair – award-winning hairdresser with a fearless creative edge,

"I founded Simon Webster Hair inspired by the creativity of my hometown, Brighton. We started as industry disruptors, bringing gender-free pricing and and more innovative approaches to our bespoke, in-salon styling. Our tagline style-music-fashion is a nod to our heritage of hairstyling for fashion editorials, artists and music videos; something that's been a big part of my career.

Collaborating with other Brighton creatives is at the heart of the SWH ethos and we've worked alongside Gresham for over 12 years now. We share so many passions and he allows me to bring my thoughts and ideas to the table to create something fresh and tailored to the individual, whether for a commercial or more avant-garde shoot. Collaborating on shoots like this one is like working with a team of friends who just get each other - the creativity flows and we trust the process. " Simon Webster

@jeremyhoyedesigner – , legendary Brighton jeweller, Jeremy captured the spirit of the day perfectly in his words:

“I’ve been making jewellery in Brighton for the last 30 years. I love working on collaborations with like-minded people. My jewellery and Gresham’s suits work well together because we don’t follow trends.” Jeremy Hoye (featured Heart Necklace)

@scottishkenny – bringing his unique eye behind the camera

"I’ve been working with a bunch of different brands, some of them very large, some of them very small, and everything in between.

I’ve been working with Gresham from the start. I shot his end of year degree show, and we’ve worked together ever since.

When you work with Gresham and his team, there’s no lack of creativity. He always comes with insane ideas that are brilliant, and I’m more than happy to help him with them.

On the shoot, it’s always a pleasure. The styling’s always banging, obviously that’s what he does. He always puts a lot of effort into it.

It’s not a difficult shoot to make look good, and the people he gets to put in front of my camera are just fantastic.

He’s such a good communicator, which makes it easy. You never know what you’re gonna get with Gresham  and that’s all part of the charm." Kenny McCracken

The Brighton Studios's new space is the South Coast's newest, biggest film and photography studio. It's drive in, with a whopping 23m wide, 8m high cove and all of the services you'd expect from a contemporary pro shooting space - like green and blue screen, virtual production and on-site equipment hire.

Olly Hearsey and Xoe Kingsley ( who also did the make up @xoemua ) founded The Brighton Studio to facilitate the rich seam of creatives who work in, and are drawn to our area.

“We’re in our 10th year now, but we’re still motivated by the incredible people we meet every day, bringing their passion and unique vision to life in our spaces.” says Olly. Xoe adds, “Gresham Blake was one of our very first clients! This shoot brings together a team of talents who have each contributed so much to the creative capital of Brighton. What an incredibly special way to showcase this new collection in our new space”. Olly Hearsey
