Chase the Tailor Game
🃏 CHASE THE TAILOR
A fast-paced card game where no one wants to be caught holding The Tailor.
👥 Players
2–6 players
🎯 Objective
Finish the round with the fewest points.
Avoid being stuck with The Tailor card — it carries the biggest penalty.
🧩 Setup
- Use the full deck (52 cards + 2 Jokers + Tailor card)
- Shuffle and deal 7 cards to each player
- Place remaining space in the centre for a discard pile
▶️ How to Play
1. Starting the game
The player to the left of the dealer goes first. Play moves clockwise.
2. Your turn
Play one card onto the centre pile by matching:
- Suit OR
- Rank (number/face card)
If you cannot play:
- Draw 1 card from the deck
✂️ Special Cards
🧵 The Tailor Card
- Can be played at any time
- Next player must draw 2 cards
- The Tailor is now “chasing” them
⚠️ If you end the round holding The Tailor, you’ll take a heavy penalty.
🃏 Jokers
- Choose one:
- Skip the next player
- Reverse the direction of play
🏁 Ending the Round
The round ends when a player has no cards left.
All other players score points based on the cards remaining in their hand:
- Number cards = Face value
- Face cards (K, Q, J) = 10 points
- Joker = 15 points
- Tailor card = 25 points
🏆 Winning the Game
Play multiple rounds.
The player with the lowest total score wins.
🔥 Optional Rule: “Chase Mode”
For a more chaotic game:
- When The Tailor is played, it stays active
- Each player must draw +1 extra card on their turn
- This continues until another special card is played

Don’t hold onto The Tailor too long…
It always comes back to bite.
